Japanese cuisine Shabu-shabu and Sukiyaki are definitely the perfect dinner in winter! “Henry’s Restaurant”
Henry’s Restaurant is operated by Black Bear Properties. Henry’s Restaurant has been renewed to become a Japanese traditional restaurant, and serves special Shabushabu & Sukiyaki.
They prepare a classy course meal with Shinshu premium beef and Hakuba pork. There is also a course meal for vegans, please ask staff when you make the reservation.

Bears Cafe is back to Echoland where it started in 2016! They are looking forward to serving you their popular dishes again as well as some new items!

Bears Cafe Echoland
A cozy cafe where you can chill with your dog, “cafe and bar Jasmine”
Jasmine is located in a quiet location near Echoland. It's a pet friendly cafe, you can feel free to come with your pet. They serve breakfast, lunch, sweets and also nice coffee!
Staff recommends hearty Jasmine burger; original beef patty, fresh veges. They have added option like pineapple,,, why don't you make your own special burger?!

A cafe with specially home-roasted coffee, “utflykt cafe”, which also serves as a co-working space
Hakuba Norway Village located below the Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium, is a free co-working facility. Utflykt is inside Hakuba Norway Village. The owner mixes and roasts coffee by himself, you can have a nice working time with special coffee.
Staff's recommendation is a Anaerobic coffee which is compressed fermented green beans to bring flavor out. They also have cinnamon roll, some sweets, and lunch set meal(only Wednesdays)! They post the Wednesday lunch menu on Instaglam every week.
Utflykt
A stylish cafe with a panoramic view of Hakuba valley, “&Mountain”
&Mountain uses Hakuba's local vegetables, fruits, and milk. We can feel Hakuba with all five senses!
One of the lunch menu is "Napolitain", which is one of my favorite pasta. It is a ketchup seasoned pasta with omelet, and it was so goood that it became one of my favorites! They also have tasty sweets, and you can spend a great time here with the beautiful view of the Hakuba scenories.
&Mountain
If you want to try out the real Japanese style "Teppanyaki" in Hakuba, “Teppan Dining Yamanami” is the one to go to!
Yamanami located in the middle of Hakuba is a cozy and elegant cuisine. Enjoy the seasonal dishes, Shinshu beef, Hakuba pork, and Shinshu salmon!
Lunch set meal is my recommendation! Appetizer, soup, main, rice, and coffee or English tea is included, and you can make your choice from white rice or original garlic rice! Please try the garlic one!!
Teppan Dining Yamanami
Their special curry makes you want to come back to them everyday!
The best spice curry for lunch, and Kushi-katsu for dinner at "Hige"
The first dining you see in Echoland is "Hige". They have daily special curry which uses many types of ingredients. It is always amazing!
During the winter, they serve as a Kushi-katsu izakaya; deep fried skewered meat and vegetables. Kuhikatsu is one of the traditional Japanese food! You should definitely give it a try!

A small western restaurant, “COCCOLA J”
Coccola J located in Misorano area in Hakuba, has their original style of food that is really tasty! It's open until the evening, so you can enjoy late lunch here. (One group up to 4 people)
Succulent Hakuba pork hamburger steak, Omelet rice, gratin with rice, grilled chicken,,, my favorite is Omelet rice! The best of all, the french chiffon cake will melt in your mouth, enjoy this fluffy cake here!

If you are looking for a Takeout & Delivery shop in Hakuba, it is “Misorano kitchen”
Misorano kitchen was made for the needs of everyone who wanted to enjoy a nice meal at home or didn't want to cook sometimes. They have lunch boxes (called obento) and à la cartes!
They offer monthly lunch boxes that needs to be ordered by 10am on the day, pizza, hamburger, hot pot set for winter, and more. Delivery areas are limited to Misorano and Echoland areas.

Share plate/tapas style restaurant, “Hybrid”
Charcoal grilled foods, funky fermented products and menus with lots of great local Nagano products will fulfill your satisfaction! Enjoy by sharing all the dishes.
What is highly recommended is the charred carrot. Charcoal grilled carrots, original sauce, and nuts are the perfect match, once you try it, you will be addicted to it!

Home-roasted coffee stand in the forest “Satoru coffee”
As you walk up the Echoland are, you will find a small coffee stand “Satoru Coffee”, a cute coffee shop built by the owner. In addition to coffee, they sell tumblers and goods, and if you bring your own cup, you can get a discount!
The coffee is roasted in-house by the owner, and you can select the beans, then he drips them just for you. You can have a latte or chai tea as well. Take out cups feature original logo and made from environmentally materials.
Satoru coffee
A nice warm and elegant Japanese style restaurant, “NEO “wa" shokudo Issei”
Issei is like a hide-out and it is in the main area of Happo. Very cozy with warmth of wood and tasty homemade soba noodles!
The hakuba pork cutlet set meal has a large portion and offers you great satisfaction! Deep fried cutlet with melty egg is actually not too heavy...even ladies can finish all of it with no problems!
NEO“wa”shokudo Issei
Lots of menu to match the Japanese sake! “Shinshu dining Sarugaku”
Casual and cozy Izakaya and friendly staffs, you can enjoy a variety of Japanese food. Single customers are welcome too!
You can enjoy the Nagano's traditional food, Basashi(horse meat), stew of pork belly... and my recommendation is the crunchy soba salad! You can only have it here in Hakuba. Both adults and children are sure to be addicted to it!
Shinshu dining Sarugaku
The Sushi rice is different from others! Sushi restaurant, “The Campfire”
The name of this restaurant was chosen because the onwer wanted to create a space that brings the feeling of calmness and healing that you get when you are looking at a camp fire. The Shari, which is the sushi rice, is mixed with red vinegar (normally white vinegar is used) and has a unique taste!
They order carefully selected fresh fishes from Nihonkai(Sea of Japan), Hokkaido, and Tsukiji(Tokyo), so you can have fresh sushi here even though Hakuba is surrounded by mountains!
The Campfire
The only restaurant in Hakuba, where you can experience the traditional Japanese style building! “Sho-ya maruhachi dining”
Shoya Maruhachi Dining is a calm and elegant restaurant, located in Hakuba Iwatake area. The building was built by renovating an old folk house. It retains the atmosphere of an old Japanese house, and Sengoku period armor, helmets, and large Japanese drums are displayed.
Robatayaki; grilled food using Binchotan charcoal... please enjoy seasonal meats and vegetables, fresh seafoods from Nihonkai (Sea of Japan). They also have some course menus available.

Drink! Eat! Play! Casual dining and bar, “Tomatito”
Tomatito is an Italian restaurant, located in Echoland. It has a nice warm atmosphere and each dish is handmade. Variety of dishes and cocktails + non-alcohol cocktails!
Homemade crispy and tasty pizzas with seasonal foods, appetizers, fries, pasta are all nice!

Turkish pizza, Pide! Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, “Gogh”
The chef is from Turkey, and he prepares amazing dishes! This is the only place you can enjoy Turkish food here in Hakuba, and it is one of my favorite restaurant.
Pide's outside is kind of fluffy, lots of toppings are always great. Desserts are also recommended!

Connie, the cute dog, might be waiting for you! "Head Cafe"
Located below the Happo-one Ski Resort, it opens only winter. A gorgeous breakfast with homemade breads, also you can also have gluten free bread and muffins here!
My recommendation is this panini sandwich! You can change to bread which is made with rice flour!

Homemade Napoli style pizza! Freshly baked delivery shop, "Morino pizza"
Homemade pizza dough and sauce are baked on stone plates... large, crispy and chewy!
You can get Hakuba beer and wine here too. Please ask for them when you order!!
